As we know, both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi had posted this photo of them playing chess and having a game of checkmate between them as a part of their photoshoot, on their instagram accounts earlier, where Cristiano Ronaldo got tonnes of likes and Messi a little less. Ronaldo once earlier also said that he would like to ''Checkmate his rival Leo Messi on ground (FIFA)", establishing himself strong as the World's Best Player by surpassing Argentina and Barcelona's Star LIONEL MESSI. Ronaldo Stated :
"It will be my fifth World Cup, I'm focused and extremely confident that it would go well. " He added that "We're doing checkmate in real life, not just in chess" referring to the photosoot he added more "Let's see. It would be nice. Since it happened in a chess game, in football it would be more. "
And while all this was going on the most ever liked picture on instagram was that of an 'egg'.

As, Argentina won the FIFA WORLD CUP 2022, fans were and are highly delighted by this win. Everyone around the world was celebrating this win of their hero Lionel Messi. This extreme happiness was seen all over world as well as on Social Media. After the victorious match, Leo Messi posted some photos of him and Argentinean Team holding the FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR 2022 Trophy, on his instagram account, which as around 400 Million+ Followers. This post got an extreme reach, and in a day got near to the world record of the highest liked pic of the egg and was close to break it and as predicted earlier it did broke the record. As a result online battle started among Messi Fan's and Cristiano Ronaldo Fan's as well as the Haters and EGG Post Likers, the likes on both the images were suddenly either increasing at a moment or decreasing. The likes on the EGG Post decreased first, then it increased also a bit and Messi post got unliked but liked much more then. For making it the most liked pic people started unliking the egg pic. Sportskeeda, the sports content provider, posted an edited photo of Messi and Ronaldo's chess game where Messi was shown to be giving Ronaldo a CHECKMATE and the egg (referring to that of the most liked pic of the egg, which was now surpassed by messi's post) which was a broken golden egg was shown on place of Ronaldo's face. This was just a creative post by them showing that Messi defeated both Ronaldo and The Egg's record of the most liked picture ever on Instagram. However, this infuriated the anger of Cristiano Ronaldo fans as the post looked controversial and disrespectful towards Ronaldo showing him lose and a puting a broken egg on him. Some people mistook it. Already the fans of Ronaldo were sad as he was out of the tournament getting beated by a new grown team like Morroco and after this the post of Messi getting likes, EGG getting unliked and Sportskeeda's New Post too.
