Gram Panchayat Elections Maharashtra 2022 Results :
The gram panchayat elections were held for Nagar Parishads of Thane (35), Palghar (62), Pune (176), Yavatmal (93), Latur (338) and Gadchiroli (25), among others.
The Balasaheb Thakrey's Shiv Sena has won 842 seats (Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena). Shiv Sena (UBT) got 637, Congress (INC) - 809, NCP 1,287. Whereas according to Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, BJP alone has won 2,348 out of the 7000 Gram Panchayats results received till now, "It has emerged as the single largest party" as he stated. Fadnavis further said "The people in rural Maharashtra have accepted the BJP-Balasahebanchi Government in Maharashtra". He continues that the high electoral margin gained by the alliance is a "testimony to government's developmental work, welfare schemes and policies for the rural areas". He added, the electoral success has been seen across places like Vidharba, Marathawada, North and Western Maharashtra, Konkan. Maharashtra Congress Chief Nana Patole admits that congress has won 200 out of 236 seats in Gram Panchayat in Nagpur district. Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis' adopted village Fetri too, Congress has won already - according to Nana Patole, Congress Chief, Mahrashtra. Devendra Fadnavis is said to have adopted this village in 2014. Patole further claims that Congress has won 900 grampanchayats across Maharashtra.
In all this rushes, an incident took place where two groups clashed onto each other in Tikli village of Jalgaon in Jamner Taluka, which led to the death of a BJP Party Worker.
Counting for votes cast for elections to 7,135 Gram Panchayats across 34 districts of Maharashtra started on Tuesday 19//11/22 morning. The voting was held on 18 DECEMBER 2022, which got a average voting turnout of 74 per cent as found.
Elections first were to be held in 7,682 Gram Panchayats across 34 districts including Mumbai and its sub-urbans to choose the Gram Sarpanch and Gram Panchayat's Members which was announced earlier but in some constituencies there was no opposition and hence, candidates won unopposed without any alternative for people to vote and choose from. Therefore, the elections took place at 7,135 Gram Panchayats.
In Kolhapur South, BJP Leader Dhananjay Mhadik's panel was clean bolt by Congress' Satej Patil's panel in the gram panchayat elections. Former Congress Minister Sunil Kedar got an upperhand against BJP in Nagpur's Kalmeshwar Taluka. BJP's leads are in Sindhudurg, while BJP MLA in Vaibhavwadi - Nitesh Rane's panel leading and the Shiv Sena (UBT) are trailing behind.

In Pune district, Opposition leader Ajit Pawar remains strong by capturing 92 out of 221 Gram Panchayats. BJP here has won only 38 seats.

Three out of six gram panchayats in Uran have come to BJP and MLA Mahesh Baldi has won the election of Sarshi. Former Thackeray group MLA Manohar Bhoir has retained the gram panchayat of his village, reports Loksatta.
In Uran, BJP won three Gram Panchayats in Ransai, Dongri, Sarde.
Congress wins in Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis' adopted village
Although the highest number of sarpanchs and members of the BJP have been elected in the Gram Panchayat elections in the state, Congress has won in Fetri village of Nagpur district, which was adopted by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Also, Suresh Langde of BJP was defeated by Ravi Khambalkar of Congress.
